Expert repairs from people who know their equipment

Not everything needs to be replaced when it develops a fault.

At Electronic Centre, we specialise in the repair of DJ, audio, Hi-Fi, music and professional electronic equipment. Our experienced engineers have a combined 50+ years of experience, working on a wide range of equipment from turntables and amplifiers to DJ controllers, mixers, speakers and studio equipment.

Whether your equipment has stopped working completely, developed an intermittent fault or simply isn't performing as it should, our workshop can diagnose the problem and advise you on the best way forward.

What we repair

Our workshop specialises in a wide range of DJ, audio and music equipment, including:

  • DJ equipment and DJ controllers
  • Mixers and amplifiers
  • Turntables and record players
  • Speakers and PA equipment
  • Hi-Fi equipment
  • Professional audio equipment
  • Studio and recording equipment
  • Keyboards and electronic musical instruments
  • CD players and media players
  • AV amplifiers and equipment
  • Other specialist audio and electronic equipment

If you're unsure whether we can repair your equipment, get in touch with us before bringing it in and we'll be happy to advise.

How our repair service works

1. Bring your equipment to us

Bring your faulty equipment into our Belfast store and we'll get it booked into our workshop.

If you're bringing in a larger or particularly heavy item, we'd recommend contacting us beforehand so we can advise on the best way to bring it in.

2. Initial inspection & diagnosis

An inspection fee is payable when your equipment is booked into our workshop. This covers the time required for our engineer to inspect the equipment, diagnose the fault and determine what is required to repair it.

Inspection fees:

£40 – Most equipment

£65 – Larger items, standalone DJ controllers, keyboards and AV amplifiers

We aim to complete the initial inspection and diagnosis of most equipment within 2–3 weeks.

This is an estimated timeframe rather than a guaranteed turnaround. More complex equipment, busy periods or difficulty sourcing technical information or parts may mean that some inspections take longer.

3. Repair quotation

Once we've diagnosed the fault, we'll contact you with details of the repair, including any required parts and associated costs.

We will not carry out chargeable repair work without your approval.

If the repair isn't economically sensible, we'll let you know so you can make an informed decision about whether to proceed.

4. We carry out the repair

Once you've approved the quotation, our engineer will carry out the repair using appropriate replacement parts and components.

If further faults or additional work are discovered during the repair, we'll contact you before carrying out any additional chargeable work.

5. Collection

We'll contact you once your equipment is ready to collect.

Repairs can take time

We understand that you want your equipment back as quickly as possible. However, repair times can vary depending on the fault, the equipment and the availability of replacement parts.

Some repairs can be completed relatively quickly, while others may require parts to be ordered from manufacturers or specialist suppliers.

We won't compromise the quality of the repair simply to rush a job through the workshop.

We'll keep you updated if your repair is likely to take longer than expected.

Is it worth repairing?

If you're unsure whether your equipment is worth repairing, bring it in and let us take a look.

We'll diagnose the problem and give you an honest assessment of the likely repair cost. If a repair isn't economically sensible, we'll tell you rather than encouraging you to spend money unnecessarily.

Sometimes a repair is the best option. Sometimes replacement makes more sense. Our job is to help you make the right decision.

Experienced engineers. Proper diagnosis.

With more than 50 years of combined engineering experience, our workshop has seen a huge variety of equipment and faults over the years.

From DJ equipment and turntables to amplifiers, speakers and professional audio equipment, our engineers have the knowledge and experience to investigate a wide range of faults.

We believe in properly diagnosing the problem and repairing equipment correctly, rather than simply replacing parts or recommending a replacement unit.
