Pioneer Toriaz AS-1

The Pioneer Toraiz AS-1 analog monophonic synthesiser has been designed as the perfect partner for the Toraiz SP-16 sampler in both live performance and studio environments.

Pioneer’s AS-1 uses a true analog synthesis engine based upon the discrete circuitry of the DSI Prophet-6 synth delivering a powerful sound perfect for bass and lead parts. The AS-1 is simple and intuitive to use with 495 presets to provide either inspiration or the perfect sound for your next track.

With two analog VCOs (voltage controlled oscillators), two filters (again voltage controlled) and two FX engines from the Prophet 6 the sound of the Pioneer AS-1 is easily played thanks to the touchpad-style keypad. For those with little or limited knowledge of music theory the AS-1 is equipped with a powerful scale mode that offers 21 on-board scales. There’s also a built in arpeggiator and 64-step sequencer that can be combined with the slider control to create dynamic evolving patterns.

In addition to the powerful sound engine the AS1 can be linked to the SP-16 using MIDI to unlock advanced patterns. Adding loops to your analog sound palette is simple with the SP-16 and thanks to Pro DJ Link the Toraiz system can be synced to your live set with ease.
